Gladbach's Granit Xhaka: I can imagine playing for Arsenal
Granit Xhaka has remained coy over whether Arsenal are the club that is negotiating to sign him but indicated he would be happy to move to the Emirates Stadium.
Sources told ESPN FC last month that Arsenal were confident of signing Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder Xhaka, 23, and reports in England and
Germany last week said a deal was close.
On Tuesday, Gladbach sporting director Max Eberl confirmed the club had received an offer for the Switzerland international but said there is no agreement in place and also declined to name the bidding club.
Speaking to Swiss television, Xhaka said he is the "wrong person to ask" about the interest from Arsenal but admitted they are "absolutely" a club he could imagine playing for.
He told SRF: "Whether there are talks or not, the clubs Gladbach and Arsenal know that, but as of now I am still a Gladbach player. It might change in the next weeks or it might not change."
He added: "There will definitely be a decision before the European Championship."
Switzerland begin their Euro 2016 campaign on June 11.
